Self-led visits
Select your choice of activities for a teacher-led visit. Suitable for all key stages. We recommend you book a planning visit.
Schools can request a lunch space, sensory resources and ear defenders are available to support your visit.
Museum facilities
The Postal Museum aims to be accessible to all. We have facilities to support students with different access needs.
Mail Rail access
Mail Rail may not be suitable for all students. Students must be able to transfer themselves on and off the ride safely. Read more about Mail Rail access.
Sorted! The Postal Play Space
Sorted! is an indoor play area for children aged 8 and under. It is on two levels and may not be fully accessible for all students.
SEND classes with a small number of students will share a session with the public.
Costs
Costs are per student. One adult per student is included in the price. If you need to bring more adults to support your students, let us know when you book.

FAQs for SEND schools
We have no dedicated quiet space but aim to provide one upon request. Let us if you need one at the point of booking.
This can be requested at the point of booking.
There is a Changing Places toilet on the lower level of the Mail Rail building. It is accessible via stairs or a platform lift.
You can request a lunch space. You will be allocated a 30-minute slot and can leave your belongings in the lunch space for the duration of your visit.
