Digitisation Studio
The digitisation studio at The Postal Museum provides high-resolution photographic solutions for both the museum and external clients, working onsite in our central London studio or on location. The diversity of The Postal Museum’s collection means that we are well equipped to photograph almost any item, from delicate postage stamp test prints to large scale machinery and vehicles. We welcome the opportunity to work with individuals and other institutions.
Our work
We work to the highest standards of colour fidelity and our output conforms to the ISO 19264-1 image quality guidelines used by many of the world’s largest institutions. We specialise in working closely with our clients to tailor our output to their needs. We offer a range of other facilities such as an onsite conservation studio, secure climate-controlled storage and a high security vault for particularly valuable items. We are also able to work with clients on developing their own digitisation studios and workflows.
Previous clients include The London Transport Museum, Amnesty International, The Royal College of Physicians, The Geological Society, Black Country Living Museum, The Royal Horticultural Society and St Bride Foundation.
